Come Visit!

Come to beautiful Idaho
and meet the SpiritWind Desert Arabians, experience these ancient bloodlines
up close and in person!

There's nothing quite like the presence
and feel of a Horse, especially ones that are extremely sensitive and intelligent - bred to bond from their ancient Desert roots.

It is so amazing to feel their sleek and sensitive coats with such firm muscles underneath.

And wow - to look directly into their eyes!
That alone can sooth a troubled soul.

Imagine having a bunch of them all curiously sniffing you to say Hello - feeling their breath pulsing to take you in as they assess who you are!

Of course, the experience to treasure is the witnessing as some sudden Spirit suddenly moves them all to thunder off with the Wind, tossing their manes and tails as they go!

Guaranteed, you will leave with a smile on your face and the smell of a horse in your heart!

What Others Say:

Christine says...

"Just over three years ago, I met Bev. The first time my daughter and I went out to her place to meet her, we were all sitting on hay bales out of the sun talking and getting to know a little bit about each other. When Bev said that her horses were Arabians, my young daughter loudly and honestly (as kids do) announced to Bev “My mom hates Arabians!” At which point of course I had to explain to Bev why. As I explained that my experiences with Arabs were that they were nervous, flighty, very unpredictable and frankly, ugly dish-faced animals - and that the owners seemed to be the same way!

She sat intently listening to me, probably thinking I needed to leave her property right now. But, instead of insisting I was the idiot unpredictable animal, she explained to me that these horses she had were not like that at all. They were from old lines descending from the Desert Bedouins, and that they were not flighty or unpredictable (not more than any other breed). She said, “I hope in time my horses can change your mind.” Well, they did! And she did. Starting right there. She didn’t get offended or uppity as a lot of the Arabian horse people I had met in the past had. Over that first year, I spent a lot of time at her ranch and she even offered me the opportunity to work with one of her young stallions (SpiritWind Baasil) to take him to Sport Horse Nationals. It was a great experience and I had my mind changed for good after that. Her horses are definitely not the typical Arabs I had been around in the past. "

Christine was teaching him "Goodbye" in Spanish before he left for Chile, SA.

I first met Bev and her beautiful horses and dogs when we worked together in MN. My soul mate GSD Ice came from one of her litters. Much later after we both retired, I was fortunate to visit Bev at her SpiritWind Ranch in Idaho in February 2021.

She welcomed me with a chance to work side by side helping her with some winter chores. It was uplifting and relaxing to move from pasture to pasture, greeting the horses, chopping ice from water tubs and learning the timing for opening and closing gates. The beauty of the valley combined with the wonderful spirit of the horses as they greet you with nuzzles of your hands and hair had me hooked!

I had to leave too soon, but was determined to return. That return finally happened in the fall of 2023! The horses greeted me as an old friend and reminded me of all the grace and peace of this place. I will return again. Hopefully for longer to again feel that spirit that floats on the wind and enjoy the companionship of a good friend!

Someone Once Asked Me:

WHY?
Why do you do it?
It must be ALOT of work and a huge responsibility!?

After very little thought, this was my response:

I think it's their temperaments...and intelligence.  They have such personalities!
Their connection to people is VERY special.
That keeps me striving to educate the world about these special horses.

You know, if you have a bad day and sit on the edge of the water trough and cry it out, you will have a horse head burrowed into your chest sharing your pain!

They will traverse a field to come greet you at the nearest fence even if you are swallowed up by your thoughts of the day and oblivious to their connection.

I can honestly say that I have had some demonstrate an intent to protect me from what they perceived to be potential harm to me.
That is a very powerful moment!

They are truly great and willing partners with a work ethic of
Go, Do, See, Last All Day...and be ready to do it all again the next day.

It has been my honor and pleasure over the last 30+ years of their companionship to do my best to replace, maintain, promote, and educate others about these unique
Asil Arabians.

It might simply be something you have to
"Experience in Person".
