Ahsahm is one of the most confident, intelligent, willing-to-please stallions I've known...and I have been blessed with some very wonderful stallions. He comes by it honestly as both his sire and his dam were the same. Trustworthy is the word for him. Oh, he can be "all boy' but his human connection and sensibility have always impressed me, and he passes this on to his babies, too. He was sadly very seriously injured when a weanling. He dealt with treatments, numerous splints, shoes, and physical limitations at such a young age with the grace and patience of an elder. Despite the injury you can see that he is a very big mover, and smooth as silk in all gaits. He has a big elastic walk with a significant overstride, trots at 15mph alongside the 4wheeler, and displays the perfect ground-covering, effortless rocking-chair canter. His personality is bold, yet very in-tune and curious, and desirably forward! All great traits for Endurance, trail, or ranch work. I was more accurate than I could have imagined when I said "Awesome" (Ahsahm) upon seeing him that zero-degree Minnesota morning early in April, many years ago. That morning we snuggled under a big fluffy sleeping bag together to stay warm until the sun rose. He is one of those Stallions who would protect you when needed.

Please Note - Ahsahm had a severed tendon in his RR as a weanling. His LR suffered also, due to compensatory stresses. I am thrilled he has remained "sound" for 22 years and moves as well as he does!
